This policy explains how Bargen, developed by Mohammed Aadhil, handles information when you use the app.
The app processes barcode payloads you enter, imported CSV or spreadsheet data, barcode images and PDFs, clipboard content you choose to paste, and label designs. Encoding, rendering, bulk generation, label composition, and barcode decoding run locally.
Barcode contents can include product identifiers, personal information, or other text. Anyone who receives or scans an exported barcode may be able to read its payload.
The local library stores saved barcodes, payload and design settings, titles and metadata, templates, presets, label-stock configurations, and preview thumbnails. Preferences are kept locally. The app does not provide its own cloud synchronization.
Reader results include decoded content, source names or file locations, page numbers where applicable, and scan times. They are held for the window’s session unless you deliberately save, copy, or export them.
If you open or save files through iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may store or synchronize them under its own settings and privacy policy. System backups may also include local app data. These services are controlled by your operating system and chosen providers.
Camera permission is requested when you choose camera scanning. Camera frames are used for local barcode detection and are not transmitted to the developer. The camera stops when scanning ends.
You can choose photos, files, or folders to scan and use the clipboard to copy or paste content. Photo selection gives access to the images you choose. Manage camera permission in your device’s privacy settings.
Delete saved barcodes, templates, and presets using the library controls. Scan results can be cleared in the Reader and are not a persistent scan-history service. Saved library data and preferences remain until deleted or the app’s stored data is removed. On macOS, deleting the application alone may leave its library and preferences.
Exporting, copying, printing, or sharing content makes it available to the destination you choose. Exported files and clipboard contents can remain outside the app after you delete the original item. Remove those copies separately, including any backups or synchronized copies.
Apple processes App Store purchases and restores. The app uses StoreKit to retrieve products and prices and verify your Pro entitlement. The developer does not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple handles purchase information under its App Store privacy notice.
Apple may provide app usage statistics and diagnostics according to your device sharing settings. These are handled under Apple’s App Analytics privacy notice. The app does not include a separate analytics, advertising, or tracking service.
If you contact Mohammed Aadhil at me@aadhil.dev, your email address, message, and any attachments are used to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Email providers process that correspondence to deliver and store it. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligations; you can request deletion by email.
Please avoid including passwords, license keys, confidential documents, or other sensitive content unless you deliberately choose to share it for support. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Contact the same address to exercise those rights. The developer cannot access or remotely delete data stored only on your device.
This app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has supplied personal information in a support request, contact me@aadhil.dev to request its removal.
This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The latest version will be available at this URL with a revised date. This policy covers the Apple-platform app and its related support; websites and services you choose to use have their own privacy practices.
