SoliPDF

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This policy explains how SoliPDF, developed by Mohammed Aadhil, handles information when you use the app.

Your documents

You choose the PDFs to open and the folders the app may use. Splitting, merging, arranging pages, compression, page numbering, and watermarking run locally. Original PDFs are left unchanged, and saved outputs use new file names.

Saved outputs do not retain the source PDF’s password. Anyone with access to an output file can open it without that password. Store and share outputs accordingly.

If you open or save files through iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may store or synchronize them under its own settings and privacy policy. System backups may also include local app data. These services are controlled by your operating system and chosen providers.

Information kept on your device

SoliPDF remembers up to 25 recently used documents, including their locations, last-use times, the tool used, and system bookmarks that let it reopen them. It also stores folder-access bookmarks, a cached Pro unlock state, and whether you have saved your first output, so an optional Pro offer is not repeated.

PDF passwords are held only in memory for the running app session and are cleared when you quit. Thumbnails for encrypted PDFs or documents opened with a session password stay in memory and are excluded from the thumbnail disk cache.

For ordinary PDFs, page thumbnails may be saved in a local cache with a 256 MB trimming budget. These thumbnails can contain visible document content.

Temporary working files

Splitting by size, compression, and Playground saves may create temporary PDFs containing readable document contents without the original password. Working files are removed when the operation finishes or its plan is discarded, where possible. Dropped copies, interrupted operations, crashes, or cleanup failures can leave temporary files for the operating system to clear.

Retention and deletion

Remove individual recent entries or clear the recent list from Home. This clears the list, but does not delete PDFs or cached thumbnails. There is currently no in-app thumbnail-cache clear button or separate reset control for folder grants. Saved outputs remain until you delete them. Local preferences and caches remain until removed by the app, operating system, or you.

Exporting, copying, printing, or sharing content makes it available to the destination you choose. Exported files and clipboard contents can remain outside the app after you delete the original item. Remove those copies separately, including any backups or synchronized copies.

SoliPDF Pro purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases and restores. The app uses StoreKit to retrieve products and prices and verify your Pro entitlement. The developer does not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple handles purchase information under its App Store privacy notice.

Analytics and tracking

Apple may provide app usage statistics and diagnostics according to your device sharing settings. These are handled under Apple’s App Analytics privacy notice. The app does not include a separate analytics, advertising, or tracking service.

Support and privacy requests

If you contact Mohammed Aadhil at me@aadhil.dev, your email address, message, and any attachments are used to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Email providers process that correspondence to deliver and store it. Support correspondence is kept as needed to handle your request and any related legal obligations; you can request deletion by email.

Please avoid including passwords, license keys, confidential documents, or other sensitive content unless you deliberately choose to share it for support. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you. Contact the same address to exercise those rights. The developer cannot access or remotely delete data stored only on your device.

Children’s privacy

This app is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has supplied personal information in a support request, contact me@aadhil.dev to request its removal.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices change. The latest version will be available at this URL with a revised date. This policy covers the Apple-platform app and its related support; websites and services you choose to use have their own privacy practices.
